If your Sony PSP has firmware version 2.0 or above you can easily change the background wallpaper. To check your firmware version on the PSP you choose the following menu options;SETTINGS > SYSTEMS SETTINGS > SYSTEM INFORMATION > SYSTEM SOFTWARE.
You can now either search the internet for free psp wallpapers using your favourite search engine or resize a picture you have on your pc to the correct size to fit on the PSP screen (480x272 pixels).
Next you will need to transfer the wallpaper from your PC to your PSP via the usb cable or the memory stick (if you have a memory card reader for your PC).
Finally, using your PSP select the image and then choose the 'Set as Wallpaper' option.
The background of you PSP will now change to your selected picture.
