Infrared has now been overtaken by Bluetooth as the mobile phone connectivity king. However, it is still a worthy feature to have on your Mobile Phone as it allows you to easily transfer ringtones, photos and more to other phone users, your PC or your Laptop. The main drawback with infrared enabled mobile phones is that they only have a small transmitter range and there can be no obstructions between the sending and receiving device.
